La historia de arquitectura en España
Go to this link and skim important facts about Spanish architecture.

1. The most influential group of people who occupied Spain for almost 8 centuries were the Moors.
They constructed the Great Mosque of Cordoba, one of the most visited sites in Spain.
They use many arches and long columns in their architecture. In most of the picture I have seen, they decorate their columns very intricately. They use many fall type colors like reds, yellows, oranges, and browns.

They also constructed the Alhambra,
which is a most visited site.
The building is a off white color. It has arches in columns in the front of the building. It has rectangular spikes on the top of the building around the outside.

Influence of Spanish Architecture in the U.S.
When the Spanish settled the southwestern U.S, they brought with them their architectural style. Scroll through both pages at the following link to look at some fabulous photos of Spanish-style homes in California.
